These terms apply to every order with Pacific Front Desk LLC dba Frame Foundry ("Frame Foundry", "we"). By paying a deposit you agree to them.
1. Quotes
- Every quote is itemized: each part and its price, 5% sourcing and card fees, the build fee, and any setup and delivery.
- A quote is valid for 72 hours. Part prices change daily; after 72 hours we re-price before taking a deposit.
- Sales tax is added where the law requires it, at the rate for the delivery address.
- Example prices on this website are for illustration, dated, and not an offer.
2. Deposit and payment
- A 30% deposit confirms your order. We order parts only after the deposit clears.
- The balance is due on delivery, before the PC is handed over.
- Buying an example build online: the three builds on the builds page can be bought as-is through our secure checkout (Stripe), with a 30% deposit or paid in full, for delivery addresses in our service area. The price shown at checkout is locked once you pay - if a part's price rises afterwards, we absorb it. If a part sells out, section 3 applies, and a full refund is always one of the options.
- Upgrade and repair visits are paid on completion unless parts must be ordered, in which case the parts are paid in advance.
3. No substitutions without your approval
We build exactly what is on your accepted quote. If a part goes out of stock, is delayed, or its price changes before we can buy it, we contact you with options (wait, a named alternative with its price, or cancel). We never swap a part, brand or model without your written approval - an email reply is enough.
4. Build time
Most PCs are ready within 5 to 10 days of the deposit, depending on parts delivery. We give you an estimated date with your order and tell you right away if anything moves it. Dates are estimates, not guarantees, unless we agree in writing.
5. Cancellations and refunds
- Before parts are ordered: full refund of your deposit.
- After parts are ordered, before assembly: we return what the retailers accept and refund your deposit minus any restocking fees, return shipping, and the cost of parts that cannot be returned. We show you the receipts. If you prefer, you can take the parts instead.
- After assembly has started: as above, minus a share of the build fee for work already done (never more than the full fee).
- If we cancel or cannot deliver as quoted, you get a full refund of everything you paid.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of our receiving the retailers' refunds.
6. Delivery and acceptance
We deliver by hand within our service area. At handoff we power the PC on with you. Please check it over and tell us within 7 days if anything is wrong with how it arrived. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.
7. Customer-supplied parts and existing PCs
If you supply parts or we work on your existing PC, those parts are covered by their makers, not by us. Back up your data first: we take care with it but are not responsible for data loss. We may decline to install parts that are damaged, counterfeit, or unsafe.
8. Software and licenses
Windows is installed from a legitimate license bought for your PC. Games, launchers and accounts are yours; we install them only with your permission and do not keep your passwords.
9. Warranty
See the limited warranty. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California or federal consumer law.
